Dianne Washington-Lewis has been a Parent Educator for over 20+ years with the St. Landry Parish School Board. The one thing Dianne likes most about being a Parent Educator is helping families and connecting with people in the community. Her advice to parents: âParents must play a major role in their child/childrenâs education. They must also make sure that their child/children attend school every day because when they miss school, they can miss out on valuable lessons and any new concepts being taught.â Success to Dianne is being able to think back over the years, about all the people sheâs helped along their lifeâs journeys, and be able to see their growth. According to Dianne, for everything there is a season. Some people will stay for a second, some just for a minute, but some will stay for a lifetime. Knowing that you were a part of their journey fills you with great joy and a sense of accomplishment. Dianneâs Fun Fact: âI like to be silly sometimes!â
