Meeting Notice: Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) Meeting

We cordially invite all community members to attend the upcoming SEAC Meeting. This meeting aims to provide a platform for valuable discussions and ensure the enhancement of special education services within our district.
Your presence and valuable input will greatly contribute to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment for all students.

If you suspect your child has talented music, theater, and/or visual art characteristics, contact your school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.

Schools will be closed Monday, November 20th - Friday, November 24th, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Landry Parish School Board administrative offices and all schools will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and will remain closed for the rest of the week. We wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving holiday.

Students are to be dropped off after 6:55 am. There are no duty teachers out early and your child is unattended. Parents/siblings are not allowed to pick up or drop off students in the student parking.

🎉 Celebrating Mr. Gary Blood: Principal of Port Barre Elementary! 🏫🌟In honor of National Principals Month, we would like to give a huge shoutout to one of our school leaders, Mr. Gary Blood. 🎉

The Post-Secondary Carousel is happening today, Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Opelousas Civic Center.
This event is for 11th and 12th-grade students and parents to learn about the numerous post-secondary institutions available to students after high school graduation.
