The St. Landry Parish Government and the St. Landry Parish Veterans Memorial invite the public to attend our September 11th Commemoration Ceremony. Together, we will pay tribute to the 2,977 victims lost, the 441 first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and all the families whose lives were forever changed.

⚠️ IMPORTANT PARKING & TRAFFIC NOTICE: To ensure safety and honor our local emergency personnel, parking spaces in front of the St. Landry Parish Courthouse will be strictly RESERVED for First Responders (Sheriff, Police, Marshal Units, Fire Trucks, and Ambulances).
Additionally, the Courthouse Square will be BLOCKED from the corner of West Landry Street to Bellevue Street for the duration of the ceremony.

Our LifeShare Blood Drive is happening Thursday, September 3, and we’re encouraging our students, parents, and families to come out and support this important cause!
Students who donate may have the opportunity to earn an Honor Card for graduation and possibly qualify to win a scholarship! 🎓
Parents and family members can also donate on behalf of a MACA student so their donation can count toward the student’s opportunities.
🚌 The LifeShare bus will be parked at MACA.

Week 2 at MACA was smooth like glass. Students are settling into the school’s expectations and procedures. Admin has been supporting teachers and students in that process. During walkthroughs this week, Mrs. Joubert’s English II class was annotating a selection by Poe. Mrs. Reed was working with her Art students on Line Drawings. Ms. Fontenot was reviewing Ballet Vocabulary by allowing her students to watch a professional ballet practice.💙💛

PBIS Kickoff at MACA!
Yesterday, the entire MACA family gathered in the gym to kick off another great PBIS year! Together we reviewed our PBIS expectations, met the members of our Renaissance Team, and enjoyed an exciting performance from the PBIS Crew. We also recognized our staff team-building winners from the recent staff field trip and presented them with their well-earned trophy! It was a fun-filled kickoff focused on expectations, teamwork, and celebrating success at MACA!
