We are excited to welcome Mrs. Delia Coburn as the new Assistant Principal of Glendale Elementary! A dedicated educator with nearly two decades of service in the St. Landry Parish School System, Mrs. Coburn brings a deep passion for student success and a proven record of leadership to her new role.
Mrs. Coburn began her career in 2007 as an English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher at Lawtell Elementary, where she spent 14 impactful years in the classroom. She then served as the Administrative Assistant at Eunice Elementary for 2 years, followed by the same position at Glendale Elementary, where she has served for the past 2 years. Her familiarity with Glendaleâs students, staff, and community makes her a natural fit for this leadership position.
She earned her bachelorâs degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and her masterâs degree from Louisiana College, both of which have helped shape her vision for academic excellence and inclusive learning environments.
Beyond her professional life, Mrs. Coburn is a proud wife to her husband of 13 years, Kyle, and a loving mother to their three daughtersâLeah, Lucy, and Lily. She is also a proud grandmother to three wonderful grandchildren.
Mrs. Coburn is eager to continue supporting Glendale Elementary by building strong relationships, fostering academic growth, and creating a safe and welcoming environment for every student.
